There is a long list of restaurants/food service chains offering Veterans and Active Duty troops a yummy meal or food freebie this year. Here's a list of free eats offered this Sunday and/or Monday. In most cases, the vet/service member will need to show proof of service, though most take a photo of you in uniform if you don't have a VFW/American Legion, your DD214, or other proof. Free Meal at Texas Roadhouse, including beverage (lunch)
Free meal at TGI Fridays (lunch only, between 11AM and 2 PM)
Free meal at Golden Corral (4 PM - 9 PM only)
Free Tavern Double at Red Robin Restaurant (must show proof of service)
Free Breakfast at Hyvee (mid-west chain) from 7 AM - 11 AM)
Free meal at Concept Restaurants (Colorado only chain)
Free lunch at Sheetz (OH, PA, VA, MD, WV, and NC chain) from 11 AM - 2PM (must have ID)
